Fight inside Sports Bar Leads to Charges Against Three People

Charges laid following fight at Landmark Inn

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police service report that an altercation at a local sports bar has led to charges against three people.

Police say that officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to a bar in the 1000 block of Dawson Road after 1:30 am Saturday, Sept. 21 following reports of a large group of people fighting inside the establishment.

Through the course of their investigation officers found that a female patron at the Dragon’s Den Sports Bar had pushed another patron, at which point she was asked to leave by the bar’s bouncer.

A man, who was with the woman, then intervened and assaulted the bouncer.

The man and bouncer became involved in a physical altercation, during which the man struck the bouncer several more times. A third individual, a female accused, also struck the bouncer several times during this altercation.

Police were able to identify and later locate the male and one of the females near the corner of Picton Avenue and Red River Road. The other female accused was located inside the bar.

All three were arrested.

A 37-year-old Thunder Bay man has been charged with Assault, while a 28-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman, both of Thunder Bay, were charged with Assault and Breach of Probation.

All three were released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date.
