THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police have Matthew Land in custody following a raid of a home early on Saturday morning. The police were called after a neighbour to the home which was raided by police called for help.

Matthew Land has a long history of being on the wrong side of the law. In 2000 he was convicted of manslaughter in Ottawa.

Police in Thunder Bay was called just after midnight to a home in the 400 block of North Vickers on Saturday morning. When police officers arrived they found evidence of drug trafficking and several people tried to run, police officers took a number of people into custody including Land.

Land was reportedly charged possession for the purpose of trafficking and with possession of proceeds of crime over $5000. Land is also wanted on violations of his parole conditions after he walked away from an Ottawa Halfway House.
