KAKABEKA FALLS – At 10:30 pm the warning has ended.

Earlier:

At 8:30 p.m. EST (9:30 p.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to toonie size hail and heavy rain.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 15 kilometres southeast of Kashabowie to 20 kilometres northeast of Saganaga Lake, moving east at 60 km/h.9:30 PM EDT Thursday 18 July 2019

Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:

  • Kakabeka Falls – Whitefish Lake – Arrow Lake

Severe thunderstorms will be near:
Whitefish Lake around 9:10 PM CDT.
Nolalu around 9:15 PM CDT.

Locations impacted include:
Whitefish Lake, Remicks, Mackies, Nolalu, Flint, Suomi, Silver Mountain, Sellars, Hymers, O’Connor and Harstone.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
