Fire on Fort William First Nation Under Investigation

FORT WILLIAM FN – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on Fort William First Nation on Saturday. The blaze at 90 Little Lake Road was reported at about 4:13 on June 30/19.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue received a report of a house on fire at 90 Little Lake Rd.

The first arriving units encountered a single family bungalow fully involved in fire.

A second alarm was called bringing the total response to 5 pumpers, an Aerial ladder and the Platoon Chief.

The home suffered heavy fire damage, resulting in the roof collapsing.

All occupants had successfully evacuated the home, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
