Kenora – OPP Arrest Local Woman on Drug Charges

KENORA – The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a local woman with drug-related charges following a vehicle stop in the City of Kenora.

On Saturday, May 11, 2019, at approximately 1:00 pm, police stopped a vehicle in downtown Kenora for a Highway Traffic Act violation. Upon speaking to the driver, the investigation led to the arrest and search of the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, 29-year-old Jade KABESTRA of Kenora has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Methamphetamine Section 4(1) (CDSA)

Adult Operation while Prohibited Section 320.18 of the Criminal Code

She appeared in Kenora Court on May 12, 2019 to answer to the charges.
