Hammarskjold High School Closed Again Due to Threat

THUNDER BAY – Another day of school lost at Hammarskjold as the school is closed again due to another anonymous threat.

The Lakehead Public School Board reports “Due to an anonymous threat received by TBay Police, Hammarskjold HS will be closed for today, Fri Apr 12. All efforts will be made to reopen Mon Apr 15. Buses returning to the school to take students home. Students without keys will be dropped off at Superior CVI.”

UPDATE

As a precaution from a threat at Hammarskjold High School, St. Pius X elementary school is placed in Hold and Secure.

The threat is currently being investigated by Thunder Bay Police Services, and the regular dismissal is anticipated with the Hold and Secure precaution to be lifted by the end of the school day.
