Snowfall Warning – April 8 2019 – Armstrong, Pickle Lake

THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – While the weather alerts and warnings have moved on from Thunder Bay, the slow-moving weather front is continuing for areas north and east of the city. There is a Snowfall Warning in effect for:

  1. Armstrong – Auden – Wabakimi Park
  2. Fort Hope – Lansdowne House – Ogoki
  3. Pickle Lake – Cat Lake
  4. Summer Beaver – Wunnummin Lake – Kingfisher Lake

The snow is continuing this morning.

Environment Canada says “Snow at times heavy continues to affect portions of Northern Ontario this morning, but should slowly taper off later this morning. Additional accumulations of up to 5 cm or so are likely, bringing snowfall totals of 15 to 25 cm.

“Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.”
