PICKLE LAKE – WEATHER – Winter is refusing to release its grip on the region. Environment Canada is reporting that up to 15 cm of snow is in the forecast for the northwest. Pickle Lake, Mishkegogaming, and Cat Lake are under a special weather statement.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Pickle Lake – Cat Lake
  • Fort Hope – Lansdowne House – Ogoki
  • Nakina – Aroland – Pagwa

Significant snowfall possible Sunday.

A low-pressure system is expected to move over Northern Ontario on Sunday. Snow is expected to develop Sunday morning and persist into Sunday night.

Travel may become difficult due to rapidly accumulating snow and reduced visibility in heavy snow. As well the late season snow could impact air travel. Contact 511 for the latest road conditions and your air travel provider for flight updates.
