Thunder Bay drops pair Tuesday at bantam provincials

TORONTO – SPORTS – It was a tough day on the ice for the Thunder Bay Kings Tuesday in Day 2 competition at the 2019 All-Ontario Bantam Hockey Championship in Toronto.

Thunder Bay was humbled on a pair of occasions, falling 9-1 to the Eastern Ontario Wild before being blanked 10-0 by the Quinte Red Devils as they fell to 0-3 in the seven-team event.

Alex Arella notched the lone tally for the Kings in the setback vs. the Wild as he connected for a first period power play marker with assists going to Zachary Biniaris and Carter Anton.

The club is back at Wednesday as they take on the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs at noon before squaring off against the highly-touted Toronto Marlboros in a 6 p.m. start.
