MONTREAL – POLITICS – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Montreal last night and spoke to media following the testimony of his former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould before the Commons Justice and Human Rights Committee.

The Prime Minister stated that he “completely disagrees” with the Hon. Jody Wilson-Raybould’s characterization today of the events around SNC Lavalin during the time she was Attorney General. When asked about federal Conservative leader Andrew Scheer’s suggestion that he resign, the Prime Minister responded that “Canadians will have a choice in the fall election.’

The Prime Minister is not scheduled to be in the House of Commons for Question Period today to face questions from the Opposition.

9:30 a.m. The Prime Minister will tour the Canadian Space Agency, and make an important announcement. A media availability will follow. Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Navdeep Bains, Minister of Transport Marc Garneau, and Minister of Science and Sport Kirsty Duncan will be in attendance.
