Thunder Bay Police Seek Armed Robber in Attempted Robbery

THUNDER BAY – On Sunday night, five units of the Thunder Bay Police Service raced down North Cumberland Street. Those brave officers were racing to the scene of a potentially dangerous situation.

Police report that a male entered Skaf’s Just Basics at 470 Hodder Avenue at approximately 10:24 pm on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

The individual displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect was not successful and fled the store. No one was physically injured in this incident.

When police arrived on scene they searched the area. The suspect was not located.

Thunder Bay Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect.

The suspect is described as:

• White male
• 5’9” tall – Thin build
• Wearing tan coloured lace up high top shoes or hiking style boot, grey jogging pants, a black puffy style winter jacket, and a red trapper style hat with fur trim
• He was wearing a mask
