A major winter storm is expect to hit southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba early Monday lasting until Tueday

FORT FRANCES – WEATHER – The weather system tracking into Northwestern Ontario has seen Environment Canada extend Special Weather Statements into the western parts of the region.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
  • Seine River Village – Mine Centre
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson

Significant snowfall expected Sunday overnight into Monday.

A developing low-pressure system is expected to track over Northwestern Ontario on Monday. Snow with this system will begin Sunday evening and become heavy overnight. Snow will continue for much of the day Monday before ending Monday evening.
