THUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – Do you want to gain experience and make a difference in Northern Ontario? For the sixth year in a row, Northern Policy Institute is looking for students to join our team this summer.

Experience North, Northern Policy Institute’s summer placement program, builds capacity through experience as placements learn first-hand about the cut and thrust of public policy debate while also providing their perspective and fresh ideas on how to support the growth of sustainable Northern communities. These 16-week placements will run from May to August of 2019.

This year’s placements range from policy analysts to communications and graphic design officers in communities across Northern Ontario, all with a focus on Northern Policy Institute’s mission to engage local communities and provide evidence-based analysis for effective decision making in the region.

In partnership with supporting organizations, the Experience North 2019 placement program is offering 10 positions in the following communities:

Parry Sound – (1) Communications and events (1) Graphic design

North Bay – (2) Data analyst

Timmins – (2) Data analyst

Kenora – (2) Policy analyst

Marathon – (2) Policy analyst

Only candidates who are currently studying at a post-secondary level and intend to return to school in the fall of 2019 are eligible to apply for these positions.
