Drug Raid in Academy Results in $96k in Cocaine Seized

THUNDER BAY – On the evening of Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 the Thunder Bay Police Intelligence Unit in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Police, the Anishinabek Police Service, and the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service executed a warrant on an Academy Drive residence.

As a result, two males from the Greater Toronto Area were arrested and charged.

A large quantity of what police believe is cocaine with a street value of $96,500 was seized. Police also seized more than $5,000 in Canadian currency.

Arrested and charged were:

Tamar Miller, 22 and Stanley Sarfo, 23 both of Brampton, Ont.

• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Both accused appeared in court today, both have been remanded into custody with a future date. None of the charges have been proven in court.
