TREATY 3 Territory – Grand Council Treaty #3 is looking for people to help in the ongoing search for a missing man.

Bradley Kirkrude Jr. (Anishinaabe of Naongashiing) has been missing for 21 days as of today. His family and friends are exhausted from searching daily. Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh has spoken this afternoon with Chief Wesley Big George. Chief Big George has expressed the need for volunteers to come to Naongashiing to provide additional support in the search for Bradley.

We are asking the Treaty #3 communities and Treaty #3 regional organizations if they can support the search by providing volunteers to come to Naongashiing First Nation. If you can volunteer or identify individuals who can provide support to the community in the search efforts for Brad, the contact information is below.

Bradley KIRKRUDE Jr. (26 years of age) of Big Island First Nation Territory was reported missing on October 8, 2018, after he was last seen leaving a residence on Big Island First Nation Territory.

The investigation into this incident is being conducted by the Rainy River District OPP Crime Unit, the Northwest Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), the Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU) and the Treaty Three Police Service under the direction of Detective Staff Sergeant Serge ACAY of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB). The investigation is in the early stages and is continuing.
