THUNDER BAY – POLITICS – First and foremost, the focus must be on the human element. Let us take care of our next generation. Our children and youth so that we can have a stable community that we can all grow from.

More centres like the Underground Gym concept that provides fitness, food, and the arts to the most vulnerable in our community.

All City services should be geared to income to provide equal opportunity. There have to be jobs available for our youth through the private sector and the City.

Our children and youth need to be well informed on the street cancer that is so prevalent so that they can be better prepared to combat the evils of our community.

Homelessness and mental health must also be high on our priority list. All of the above will dramatically reduce crime.

We, as a united community can beat “the bad guys”. We will not be intimidated by their “bullying”. Collectively we can force them to “get out of Dodge”. The police need to focus more on the high-risk crime areas and less on radar (cameras can take care of that effectively).

Racism is “passe”.There is so much more to gain from other cultures. You will only grow as a person if you open up your heart unconditionally. You will never regret it, I didn’t. Two negatives can make a right: 1st– Do not point a finger at anyone. 2nd– Do not give the finger. Put them together and you have PEACE. Hatred is impossible if you understand.

City Hall transparency / Two terms only for all City officials / Six councillors + a mayor.

Synchronize the traffic lights and get the sensors working properly / 60KPH for all double lanes / Replace all 4 way stops with roundabouts / Normal speeds resume outside of school hours / No more rail interruptions at peak hours / Bring back VIA rail.

Give tax breaks to promote small business. This will increase revenue / give added jobs for our youth / Beautify our City.

We as a community need to support each other to make it all work. What we need is adherence, not dissension.

I am a very optimistic and compassionate man who strongly believes that we can turn negatives into positives. Collectively we can make a difference.
