THUNDER BAY – Third time was NOT the charm for a 24-year-old Thunder Bay man. On Thursday evening, a man attempted what police say was the third robbery of the Mac’s Convenience store location on Edward Street.

Officers with the Community Response Team arrested the male shortly after responding to a robbery that had just occurred at the Mac’s Convenience Store located on North Edward Street on September 13, 2018, at approximately 10:15 p.m.

The Community Response Team was doing directed patrol in the Northwood area in response to recent robberies in the area when the call for service for the robbery was dispatched.

An officer observed a male on Ashland Street and detained him while an officer spoke to the staff at the store and obtained a description of the suspect. The detained male was subsequently arrested and has been charged with this robbery as well as the two other robberies that occurred earlier this week at the same business.

Dustin Laduke, 24-years-old of Thunder Bay appeared in court this morning charged with:
· Robbery x3
· Disguise with Intent x 3
· Breach of Recognizance x3

He has been remanded into custody.
