Thunder Bay Police Arrest Walmart Shoplifter

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police patrol officers responded to a robbery incident at the WalMart located on Arthur Street just after 9:00 pm on August 22, 2018.

Walmart staff reported that a male attempted to leave the store without paying for some items when he was approached he pulled out a knife and fled the store. He was pursued by a loss prevention officer.

Police located the male in the bush area by the Valhalla Inn. He was arrested and has been charged with Robbery, Possess Weapon Dangerous and Breach of Probation.

The 29-year-old Thunder Bay man will appear in court this morning.
