THUNDER BAY – It has been a busy day at City Hall. There are two new candidates for Mayor. Former Liberal MPP and cabinet minister Bill Mauro has declared his candidacy. Peter Panetta from the Underground Gym has also filed his papers for a run at the Mayor’s seat.
Since the provincial election, Bill Mauro has faced a number of people seeking him to declare for Mayor.
Peter Panetta has told NetNewsLedger in the past he would seek the Mayor’s chair with a strong focus on making the city better for the youth.
This brings the total number of candidates for Mayor to ten.
