How to Pack Smartly for a Long Vacation

Cook County, Minn. – Travel – Who better to give first-time and minimally-experienced outdoors travelers advice on planning a trip to the BWCAW than the people who have already extensively explored the area?

The Boundary Waters Expo is Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10 at Bearskin Lodge on the Gunflint Trail, and gives newbies the opportunity to gather a variety of information from presenters, enjoy hands-on demonstrations, activities and more.

Those who have already traveled the multimillion-acre region, will pick up some tips and tricks, and learn about new equipment.  Presenters include Cliff Jacobson, the author of Boundary Waters Canoe Camping With Style; Rob Kesselring, licensed BWCAW guide; Bear Paulsen, one-year solo paddler; and more.  Hands-on demonstrations will be given from BW Expo lodges and outfitting exhibitors located along the Gunflint Trail.
