Thunder Bay – Day Starter – Good Morning Northwestern Ontario, it is March 14th. You are waking up to a chilly -12c in Thunder Bay. While this might not feel like mid-March temperatures, Environment Canada reports this is just half a degree cooler than the average temperature for this day.

For the City of Thunder Bay today we are expecting mainly sunny skies this morning with increasing cloudiness this afternoon. Snow is very likely with a 60 percent chance of flurries. Winds will become northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 late this morning. The high plus 1. UV index 3 or moderate.

For tonight, the weather service is calling for mainly cloudy skies with snow flurries. However, skies will clear overnight with strong winds from the northwest at 20 km/h gusting to 40 but becoming light near midnight. The overnight low should see the mercury drop to minus 18.
