Weather System Tracking over Minnesota

THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – SNOWFALL Warning Update: As of 5:30 PM on February 24, 2018, skies in Thunder Bay have become cloudy. The winter storm system which is forecast to dump up to 15cms of snow on Thunder Bay is now in Minnesota, just southwest of Duluth. Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Thunder Bay and for the areas along the Northshore of Lake Superior.

Just after 3:00 PM Environment Canada reported. “A fast-moving low-pressure system currently over Missouri will cross the Great Lakes tonight into Sunday. Snow will begin later this evening or near midnight and fall heavily at times into Sunday morning before ending.”

The weather service is also predicting snowfall amounts of up to 20 cms for Raith and areas just to the west of Thunder Bay.
