More Snow on the Way for Thunder Bay

Winter is not over yet.

THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – More Snow! That is the word from Environment Canada as a Special Weather Advisory is in place for Thunder Bay and along the Northshore of Lake Superior. The weather service is calling for another 10-15 cm of the white stuff.

Environment Canada says, “A low-pressure system will spread snow into the region overnight into early Friday morning. Total snowfall amounts between 10 and 15 centimetres are expected. Snow will taper off to a few flurries Friday afternoon into early evening.

  • City of Thunder Bay
  • Atikokan – Shebandowan – Quetico Park
  • Upsala – Raith
  • Beardmore – Jellicoe – Macdiarmid
  • Geraldton – Longlac – Caramat
  • Manitouwadge – Hornepayne
  • Nakina – Aroland – Pagwa
  • Marathon – Schreiber
  • Nipigon – Rossport

The snow is likely to impact travel on area highways, and in the city as well.
