In the spirit of the Friendship Agreement to build on the positives, the four signatories are working on. Thunder Bay – Twenty of the brightest young stars from across the region were celebrated at the 4th bi-annual Northwestern Ontario Visionary Awards (NOVAs), a gala hosted by SHIFT Thunder Bay’s Young Professionals Network and held in Thunder Bay at the Victoria Inn to recognize young professionals in the region for their leadership, community engagement, business and professional achievement, volunteerism, civic pride, and mentorship. THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – Overall a rough weekend for Lakehead University sports teams. The Lakehead Men’s Hockey team was defeated 4-0 by the York Lions on Saturday night. The Lakehead Women’s Basketball team lost and so did the Men’s Basketball team. The Lakehead Women’s Volleyball team was swept by the McMaster Marauders. We have Full Coverage of LU Sports here.
