Dryden Police Charge Three with Drug Offences and Stolen Plates

DRYDEN – On January 20, 2018, Dryden Police Service stopped a westbound car travelling on Highway 17 for a traffic related offence. Once the car was stopped, police learned that the Manitoba plates located on the car were stolen. Three people inside the car were immediately arrested, at which time a quantity of Methamphetamines was seized.

Also located and seized was another set of stolen licences plates from Manitoba. The car involved in the stop had not been stolen.

Charges

Richard Halverson- 29 years old of Kenora Ontario is charged with 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Probation. Halverson was released on an Undertaking to appear in court in Dryden on February 26, 2018.

Jeff Lackner – 28 years old of Ear Falls Ontario is charged with 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of Recognizance and Highway Traffic Act offences. He was released on a Justice of Peace Undertaking to appear in court in Dryden on February 5, 2018

Ashley Georgeson – 22 years old of Stonewall Manitoba is charged with 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamines and numerous Highway Traffic Offences related to licencing and registration. Georgeson was released on a Justice of the Peace Undertaking and is to appear in court in Dryden on February 5, 2018

None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.
