Three Robbery Suspects Arrested in Commissary Heist

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police made short work in making three arrests following a robbery in the East End of the city overnight.

Thunder Bay Police responded to a 911 call from the Commissary Convenience Store reporting a robbery that had occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on January 17, 2018.

The male clerk advised that a male entered the store with a balaclava and demanded money while pointing a syringe at him.

The male left the store after taking some cash and was observed running into a McLaughlin Street residence with two other males.

Officers attended the apartment and the investigation led them to be able to identify these males as matching the descriptors of the individuals responsible for this incident.

All three males were arrested and transported the Balmoral Police Station and appeared in court this morning and have been remanded into custody.

Charged with Robbery are William Gvora, 56 years, James Furioso, 47 years and Hank Proulx, 41 years old.

Proulx has also been charged with two counts of Breach of Probation.
