Thunder Bay Kings Hockey splashTHUNDER BAY – Both the Thunder Bay major and minor midget Kings will be on their home ice this weekend taking on AAA competition in the organization’s CCM Christmas Showcase at Fort William First Nation Arena.

Heading to Thunder Bay to take on the Kings will be both the Madison Capitols under-18 and under-16 sides in a pair of three-game sets.

Action begins Friday at 6 p.m. at FWFNA with the major midgets opening up in Game No. 1 against the Madison U-18s.

The minor midgets begin play with the Capitols Saturday morning at 9 a.m., which will be followed by the second U-18 match-up between Thunder Bay and Madison at 11 a.m.

They will also tangle again later in the day with the U-16s squaring off at 4 p.m. before the U-18s finish up their series at 6 p.m.

Sunday has the Kings and U-16 Capitols wrapping things up at 9 a.m.

Meanwhile the Thunder Bay midget AA Queens will also be competing in the event as they will take on the Gentry Academy Galaxy under-19 squad from suburban Minneapolis, Minn., with four contests on the slate.

The Queens and Galaxy will play Friday at 8 p.m., 1 p.m., and 8 p.m. Saturday before concluding Sunday at 11 a.m.

A weekend pass for all 10 games is just $20 while day passes are $10.
