BLAINE, MN – Abby Wills recorded a shutout for the Peewee Queens in a 5-0 win to open the 12U division of the Centennials Girls Super Chill Tournament. Taylor Barenz got the scoring started early in the second period with a shorthanded marker before Jenna Jackson extended the lead on a feed from Tehya St. Jean, and Bridget Cameron notched a powerplay goal in the period. In the third period, St. Jean and Barenz would get on the scoresheet again with a goal each.

Meanwhile, in the 15U division, the Bantam A Queens had some tougher sledding against Chaska/Chanhassen dropping their first game 3-1 with the lone Thunder Bay goal being picked up by Brooklyn Etreni.

The Peewee Queens will be up early to face Blaine at 9:35 am while the Bantam A Queens get to have a little more of a sleep in, playing at 12:15 pm, also against a team from Blaine.
