Thompson RCMP Make Drug Bust

WINNIPEG – In the early evening hours of Wednesday, November 29, 2017, Thompson RCMP executed a search warrant under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence located on Rainbow Crescent in the community.

Police located and seized approximately nine ounces of cocaine, various drug paraphernalia items and a small quantity of Canadian currency.

Police arrested two males at the scene, a 19-year-old and 16-year-old youth who are both from Thompson, and later released them on court imposed conditions for a January court date in Thompson. They will face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.

Those who produce and traffic illicit drugs destroy lives, homes, and communities. The RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent.
