Injury Accident on Highway 61 Sends Two to Hospital

OPP have laid a number of charges in a stolen vehicle investigation

THUNDER BAY – On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at approximately 5:29 p.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 61.

A pickup truck was northbound on Highway 61 when the driver lost control and collided with a southbound pickup truck.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

Highway 61 was closed for a short period of time while the vehicles and debris were removed from the highway.
