THUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce  pleased to introduce Thunder Bay’s first holiday entertaining show, aimed at connecting consumers with local business as they begin planning for the holiday season.

‘Tis the Season Show and Shop will take place on Sunday, November 5th at the Valhalla Inn and will feature Thunder Bay’s leading experts in fine foods, cocktails, fashion, home décor and guesting gifts. Attendees will enjoy live demos, fashion shows, product sampling and inventory for purchase.

Chamber President Charla Robinson says the event is designed to offer a wider audience the opportunity to connect with the talent and expertise of Thunder Bay businesses at a time when they’re starting to make their holiday plans. “A lot of people will shop online by default,” Robinson says, “because they haven’t made a connection with a local business that carries the products or offers the services they want. This is a way for people to get out and make those connections; to shake hands with Thunder Bay’s experts, to see and touch products rather than guessing about them from a jpeg. We’ve been asking Thunder Bay to #ChooseTBayFirst for two years, and making it easier to do that is the logical next step.”

Robinson says attendees can expect a half-day packed with ideas for making get-togethers glitter. “Think Pinterest, except live action,” she says. “This show has been designed to offer the same sort of inspiration – with all five senses and no outdated links. If you find something you can’t pass up, you can either buy it right there or head to the store and pick it up. If you meet the brunch caterer of your dreams, you can book them on the spot.”

Public admission to ‘Tis the Season Show and Shop is just $5 and includes access to all exhibits, shows and demonstrations scheduled between 11am and 4pm on November 5th. Exhibit space for this event is still available on a limited basis.
