Nipigon OPP Seek Assistance in Attempted Abduction

Opp CruiserNIPIGON – Members of the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are requesting assistance to help identify a suspect involved in an attempt abduction.

On Friday, September 1, 2017 at approximately 10:00pm, an unknown male grabbed a 9 year old in the Newton Street area in the town of Nipigon.

The child was safely able to run away from the suspect, and the suspect fled to a nearby bush area. Police were then contacted to investigate.

The suspect is described as wear all black clothing, 5’0 tall, and very skinny.
