THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Update —- Weather Advisory has ended —- Rain is topping the forecast across Northwestern Ontario. Overall Environment Canada is calling for as much as 10-15mm of rain today for parts of the region west of Thunder Bay.

The soggy conditions are likely to have impact on stream and river water levels, and there is the potential for localized flooding in low-lying areas.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Dryden – Vermilion Bay
  • Ignace – English River
  • Atikokan – Shebandowan – Quetico Park
  • Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
  • Seine River Village – Mine Centre

An additional 10 to 15 mm of rain today.

Rain is expected to continue this afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 65.7 mm have been reported at Dryden since early Tuesday morning. Most areas are expected to see an additional 10 to 15 mm of rain by this evening.
