Royalton Hotel Target of Robbery Attempt

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police report that the Royalton Bar located at 248 Bay Street was the scene of an attempted robbery last night when a Caucasion male entered the bar and demanded money from the bartender.

The male suspect had a knife in his possession at the time.

The bartender acted quickly activating the alarm for police to attend. The suspect fled on foot prior to the police arriving. He was described as being approximately thirty-five-years of age and was wearing a blue coat.

No one was injured in this incident.

The investigation is continuing.
