THUNDER BAY – The drums echoed throughout the Lakehead University Thunderdome as the Annual LUNSA Pow Wow celebrated the annual event.

Hundreds of people attended the event which continues with Grand Entry at 1:00PM EDT on Sunday at Lakehead University.

Saturday’s event included a feast, the Pow Wow, and a celebration of Indigenous culture.

Though out the year, there are many Pow Wows across Northwestern Ontario. Juliet from Pelican Falls First Nation came to dance at the LUNSA Pow Wow and shares that their annual Pow Wow is on in April. Fort William First Nation celebrates their annual Pow Wow in late June up on Mount McKay.

The LUNSA Pow Wow continues on Sunday at the Thunderdome.
