THUNDER BAY – ROAD UPDATE – The City of Thunder Bay has some road construction updates for motorists.
A section of John Street, from Valley to Mercier Street, will be closed for watermain work from Monday, Sept. 26 to Friday, Sept. 30.
This portion of John Street will be limited to local traffic only as the work proceeds. Detours will be posted for the duration of the work.
Additionally, storm sewer reconstruction at the corner of Balmoral Avenue and Central Avenue will begin on Monday, Sept. 26 and is expected to take approximately five days to complete.
The west portion of the intersection will be closed to traffic, and a detour will be posted directing motorists along Amber Drive.
Drivers travelling in the area are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage.
