Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – NEWS – An arrest has been made in the August 11th robbery of the Bay Credit Union and the Macs’ Convenience Store robbery.  The TBPS Community Response Team have arrested a thirty-four-year old Thunder Bay male who faces charges relating to the pair of robberies.

In a media statement, Thunder Bay Police Service states: “The suspect was observed by the CRT officers on Algoma Street just before noon on August 26, 2016. The male left the location on a bicycle and attempted to evade police. He was located at a residence in the 200 block of Pearl Street. He was arrested without incident and was escorted to the Balmoral Police Station.

Kirk Michael Lewis Finlayson has been charged with two counts of Robbery with a Weapon , two charges of Disguise with Intent, and with Obstructing a Peace Officer.

Finlayson appeared in court Saturday morning, and has been remanded into custody with a court date of August 31, 2016.
