THUNDER BAY, ON – Students who have not yet applied to a post-secondary program need not fret. Confederation College has several programs with seats open meaning in some cases, it’s not too late to apply. Whether individuals have just finished high school, are looking to upgrade their skills or are interested in a new career, there are a number of options to explore.
Program areas still open to applications include: Aviation, Business, Community Services, Engineering Technology, Health, Hospitality and Tourism, Protective Services, Skilled Trades and Preparatory programs.
There are also part-time and flexible program opportunities which are designed to meet the needs of students who must consider work and family in their lifelong learning plans. Students can choose from an extensive selection of part-time courses, programs and online course equivalencies in a variety of traditional and non-traditional delivery formats.
If students are still unsure of what career is right for them, they can book an appointment with a College Recruitment Officer to review their options (in-person and phone appointments available).
“Our Recruitment team works with students to identify their interests and competencies to help determine what programs and careers they should consider,” said Cheryl-Lyn Lamers, Manager of Strategic Enrolment Management. “They also provide information about the application process and teach students about what campus life will be like through guided tours.”
During College tours at the Thunder Bay Campus, students will get to see all campus buildings, including the Fitness Centre and campus residence if they like. Tours of the Aviation Centre of Excellence are also available.
