THUNDER BAY – City crews have responded to a water main break that occurred this morning on Arthur Street West, near the Ministry of Natural Resources base just before Vanguard Avenue.

The break has been isolated and work is underway to repair the pipe. Traffic has not been affected at this time.

As a result of the break, residents in the surrounding area may experience low water pressure or discoloured water, and a limited number of customers may have no water service.

Water service may be temporarily turned off for some residents to facilitate repairs and those impacted will be notified.

Notification will also be provided when water service is restored.

Residents are asked to direct questions and report observations of low water pressure, discoloured water, or no water service to Infrastructure and Operations Dispatch at 625-2195.
