Chamber President Charla Robinson says, “This is a very exciting opportunity for our community and region to showcase itself on the national stage.  The event will bring up to 400 delegates from across Canada to Thunder Bay for 3 days in September 2018 and will be the first time that any Northern Ontario community has hosted this annual conference.  We will be working closely with member hotels, restaurants, and tourism stakeholders to develop an exceptional and memorable experience for our delegates.”

Perrin Beatty, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce comments, “The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is excited to hold its annual general meeting and policy convention in Thunder Bay, a community that deeply understands the importance of sustainable natural resource development for the Canadian economy. It will be an excellent opportunity for the Canadian chamber network to discover this resource city and gain a better appreciation of the infrastructure, policies and programs that are needed to sustain Canada’s competitiveness in natural resources. We are also proud to partner with the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce on this event. Named one of Canada’s resource champions and an active member within the chamber network, the Thunder Bay Chamber will do a great job to showcase the best the city has to offer.”
