Winnipeg Blue BombersWINNIPEG – SPORTS – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League have announced the additions of International receiver Fred Williams,  International defensive end Andrew Robinson, and International defensive lineman Emmanuel Dieke.

The Bomber’s open the 2016 CFL Pre-Season on Wednesday June 8th against Montreal.

Williams (6-0, 190, St Cloud State, April 15, 1988 in Milwaukee, WI) has spent the past two seasons on the Kansas City Chiefs practice roster. He played two seasons in the Arena Football League prior to that, where he hauled in 137 passes, 32 of which resulted in touchdowns. 
Robinson 
(6-1, 230, Wisconsin-Platteville, March 18, 1993 in Acadia, WI) posted 43 tackles, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and three blocked punts in his senior year, earning himself the Defensive Player of the Year honor in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. He was named to the First-Team All WIAC in three of his four seasons with the Pioneers.

Dieke (6-6, 280, Georgia Tech, September 23, 1990 in Jackson, MS) was with the club earlier in training camp, before suffering an injury. He signed with the New York Giants in 2014 following a four year career at Georgia Tech. He moved on to sign with the Miami Dolphins later that year, spending the 2014 season on the Dolphins practice roster. Dieke played in 49 games with 25 starts at Georgia Tech. He totalled 72 tackles (41 solo), five sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. As a senior in 2013,  he started all 13 games and had a career-high 28 tackles (15 solo) and one sack.

The Blue Bombers has also released International linebacker Duron Singleton, and International defensive back Vernon Kearney.
