THUNDER BAY – BREAKING – Thunder Bay Police and emergency responders are on scene of an incident at Balmoral and Oliver Road at this hour.
Police have advised at 16:10 EDT that “Police would like to advise residents in the area not to be alarmed. Noises heard in the area of the 1400 block of Balmoral Street are not gunshots.
“The area is safely contained. Police are still attempting to make contact with the subject of the standoff.”
The incident in the 1400 Block of Balmoral Street has traffic stopped.
Thunder Bay Police advise that road access on Balmoral Street between Oliver Road and Hollylane Street are closed.
