Prime Minister Trudeau at Transit for Announcement

THUNDER BAY – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau brought positive energy, and his trademark Trudeaumania to Thunder Bay today for meetings and an announcement on Transit funding.

Speaking at the Thunder Bay Transit Barn on Fort William Road, the Prime Minister, introduced by Minister Patty Hajdu, told the appreciative audience that this announcement will have funding start to flow this year.

The decisions on the funding will come via local government the Prime Minister said.

The visit to Thunder Bay brought out large numbers of people, including students from Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School who met briefly with the Prime Minister outside the Thunder Bay Transit Barn.

After the event the Prime Minister was off to the Victoria Inn for a meeting with Nishnawbe-Aski Nation Chiefs as well as Chiefs from communities across the North.
