Northwoods League Co-Founder back as part of ownership group

THUNDER BAY – SPORTS –  The Northwoods League, Inc.’s Board of Directors has unanimously approved the sale of the Thunder Bay Affiliate to Superior Baseball Club, Inc., a Florida Corporation.

The League has worked in concert with former owner Brad Jorgenson to facilitate the transfer of ownership to Superior Baseball Club, Inc.

“Owning the Border Cats over the last eight years has been an absolute privilege. The ball club was much more than just a business for us but a passion. We look forward to assisting the new ownership group through this transition,” said Jorgenson.

“It has been an absolute joy to work with Brad for so long, experiencing some great moments along the way, highlighted by the Border Cats hosting of the League’s All-Star game. Fergie Jenkins as our guest speaker, and then the cherry on top with the Stanley Cup appearing before a sold-out stadium!” said Northwoods League Chairman, Dick Radatz, Jr.

Superior Baseball Club, Inc. plans to hold a press conference in early March to introduce themselves to the Thunder Bay community.
