NAPS Seizes Alcohol Bound for Northern Communities

THUNDER BAY – It will be drier in a few communities in Northern Ontario. Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service is reporting on a seizure of alcohol that was apparently headed to northern communities via the Winter Roads.

The seizure removed an illegal shipment of alcohol that was apparently headed to Kashechewan, Fort Albany, and Moose Factory. NAPS Detachments made the seizures on the Winter Road on January 29th.

NAPS reports that this past weekend the Attawapiskat Detachment made two Alcohol seizures in cooperation with information received anonymously from the public.
