Thunder Bay Kings Set for Hockey Action at Spirit of Duluth Tourney

DULUTH, Minn – SPORTS – The Thunder Bay peewee and bantam Kings have heading down Highway 61 and are ready to compete in the 38th annual Spirit of Duluth hockey tournament.

Game action for the peewees gets underway Friday at 11 a.m. when they tangle with the Edina Hornets.

Next up Friday will be an 8 p.m. encounter vs. the Moorhead Spuds.

They will then wrap-up round robin play Saturday at 4 p.m. as they meet the Superior Spartans.

As for the bantam Kings, they too commence play Friday with a 3 p.m. match-up against the Prior Lake Lakers.

Two more tilts are on the club’s slate Saturday starting with a noon face-off vs. the Grand Rapids Lightning before concluding with an 8 p.m. meeting with the Stillwater Stampede.

Semifinal action and the championship games in both the peewee and bantam divisions go Sunday.
