Charges Laid in Hit and Run Accident in Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – NEWS – Charges have been laid in the fatal hit and run collision that happened early Saturday morning in Thunder Bay. The identity of the male driver arrested for this incident is Anthony Paul Marino, age 41 of Thunder Bay. Anthony Marino is charged with intent to escape civil or criminal liability did fail to stop his motor vehicle give his name and address and offer assistance to an injured party who appeared to require assistance contrary to Section 252 of the Criminal Code.

Officers are continuing to encourage witnesses of the fatal hit and run collision that occurred on Saturday morning at the intersection of Court St and Wilson St. to contact them.

A number of witnesses have been identified as a result of our previous media release, and they are thanked for their assistance.

The identity of the deceased male pedestrian is Stacey Allan Kejick, age 20 of Thunder Bay.

There has been a community outreach effort to raise funds for the funeral expenses of the deceased. Visit Go Fund Me for details. The fund has almost reached the goal of $3000.

Any witnesses to this collision are requested to contact Thunder Bay Police Service Constable Carlson at 632-1820 or Constable Snyder at 629-9101. In particular, the officers are trying to contact the two witnesses in the red Ford pick-up truck who contacted 911 immediately after the collision.
