NDP Nomination Thunder Bay Superior North

THUNDER BAY – POLITICS – The Thunder Bay Superior North New Democrats are holding their nomination meeting on April 16, 2015 at the Finlandia Club.

Andrew Foulds is seeking the nomination to run for the TBSN New Democrats.

NDP NP Charlie Angus will be the special guest speaker at the Nomination Meeting.

The Liberals have nominated Patti Hajdu as their candidate. The Green Party MP and Deputy Party leader Bruce Hyer will be seeking re-election.

The Conservative Party has not nominated a candidate. Sources tell NetNewsLedger that former candidate and Nipigon Mayor Richard Harvey could be the candidate. The local Conservatives have been actively seeking a candidate, with reportedly over 15 potential candidates being interviewed, but not stepping up to take on the task.

The federal election will be October 14th, but there is a chance that the election could be held earlier, if the Conservative government chooses to advance the date.
