THUNDER BAY – ENTERTAINMENT – Hwy 11 Records from Atikokan will be awarding a prize package to one of the CBC Searchlight Northern Ontario Region contestants. Hwy 11 Records just launching out of the region consists of Rennie Frattura aka Reno Jack, a veteran Queen Street legend touring artist and producer, who has teamed up with Sunday Wilde to work on a number of recordings and projects including a fall recording with a roster of artists from the area and a networking session for women blues artists in Memphis in May.

A regional award is among their many planned projects. This award will be given to the the most original and most passionate CBC Searchlight contestant in the NWO region, it will not be based on voting by CBC fans but awarded to the most artistic in delivery, instrumentation and lyrics. The prizes are sponsored by Hwy 11 Records and the Musicians Atlas .

Prizes are valued at $500 worth of goods and services that will assist an artist to keep pursuing their musical endeavour, and so far include:
