Serious Incident on James Street Report Thunder Bay Police

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – CRIME REPORT – Thunder Bay Police are investigating a violent incident at a James Street South home that officials are saying is a “serious violent incident”.

Uniformed officers arrived at the home just before 3AM this morning. They found a twenty-nine-year-old woman and a seven-year-old child with injuries.

Thunder Bay Police Service report that police officers provided first-aid to the injured persons. The seven year old girl has what police say are serious injuries. All injured persons were transported to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Police say that all of the injured persons should survive.

Officers arrested a forty-three-year-old man who they state is apparently the ex-spouse of the twenty-nine-year-old woman.

The man is facing charges relating to this incident.

Police are holding the James Street South location as a crime scene for a forensic examination. The Criminal Investigation Branch is continuing their investigation into this incident.
